How to work less and earn more: 7 Steps

It's Naomi Granger and Andrew Hunsinger again your dope CFO's and today we want to talk about how you can work
Less and earn more and so we are going to take you on a journey on
how to get to that point
and this is the same journey and mindset shift that Andrew and I had to make in the same journey that a lot of our
Students had to make so first we have to think about. Where are you?
Where are you now? And where do you want to be? So a lot of people will come to us?
they're in a position where they feel like, they're overworked and underpaid they feel like they're
Underappreciated make a comment in the section in the comment section below if any of this

Overstressed or if you're driving across town from client to client
Are these are the types of things is this what your business looks like?
And would you like to change that to something else and that's something else?
yes, I could go for that is where you want to be and so we
Just I kind of think of these as old school a new school and we did all go through this
Where the old school was where we built by the hour and we served 15
Ition niches and we drove all over town and we are available all the time
We were under appreciated and we did work for free. Well, that's not where any of us want to be and
We're so where we want to be. We want most of us are introverted and we want to work remote. We don't like
Driving out to the clients every day or whatever
We want to get paid well or worth that and we are worth a lot if we do good accounting
We're all worth a lot. We want to have freedom and flexibility so that we can work
Anywhere if we're traveling Naomi and I both travel all over the world, but we can work from anywhere so we can work
on our own schedule
Early mornings or late nights or weekends or whenever we want and the freedom to do it from anywhere?
and then finally we going to make a difference like we're actually providing something of major value to these our
Clients because we are
Focused on one niche and we are truly experts much greater experts than the CEOs that we work for and so they are benefiting hugely
By us making a difference. And so that's where we all want to be
Yeah
and so to get from where you are to where you want to be agile and I came up with a system which
which you would need to be able to transition and we call that the dope zone and
So in the dope zone that's an area where you have your a lifestyle account
you're getting paid what you're worth you get to work remotely you have freedom and
Flexibility and you're able to make a difference and the dope zone comes with three different parts
And if you're following our channel
We've touched on each of these different parts in various videos so you can go and check some of those videos
They'll all be linked below. But the first part of that is you have to find motivated clients
Yes, and so
That's our first step is finding a motivated clients
we have a complete system for that and we think of these three parts and if you can visualize three circles kind of
Interconnected to the Dubs own being right in the middle
You got finding your motivated clients becoming a VIP?
And then providing world-class service to them once you actually have the clients
So if you can do those three things you will be in the Dell gel and the things that we you have to look out
for is you have to have all three pieces so you can't just know how to find clients and
Become an expert because if you only can find
Clients and you're an expert but you don't have your system
Then you're in the danger zone because now you have all these clients coming to you
But you don't have a system or a process or procedure
To run these climbs through their onboarding process to run these clients to their month in process
You're going to feel stressed out pretty quickly
but if you're able to find motivated clients
But you just have a system, but you don't you're not an expert
Then you're in that zone where we feel like we're faking it or we're fraud and when we don't really know what we're doing
We're just out there, you know
Trying to figure it out in this nuts that that zone right there
the one of the two circles of the finding clients and having a good system that maybe when we had a bunch of niches
So we and I remember faking this with my pharmaceutical clan because I only I have one
That was a twenty million dollar
Exit and but I always felt like I was faking it because I had never really spent time in that industry
I did have a good system, and I did have a good client
But I was not an expert and so I I the value I added to them was very limited
yeah, and then the third section is if you are an expert and you have a great system, however
You don't know how to find these clients
Now you're in the frustration stration or the struggle zone because you you know your stuff you've got your system down
But you just cannot find those clients to pay you
So now it's still a side gig you're not making any money off of it. You've just established yourself as an expert
And so yeah
So you so it's really key to have all three pieces of the puzzle
and once you do have all three pieces of the puzzle, you will be able to find clients and then of ultimately
What you live the three pieces of the circle for six months to a year
You will be finding and attracting and retaining clients without any work at all
They will be coming to you and then all those three pieces
Come together
To help you work less and earn more because if you become an expert in this niche if you are doing value-based pricing
If you have a system in place
And you have clients
Just coming to you you're able to charge more and if you just think about it
So in order to hit six figures and I'm not no, I'm not sure where you are in your business now
But a lot of times the first goal for people in businesses is to hit six figures
All you need to make is about eight thousand nine. Eighty five. Let's say eighty five hundred dollars a month
Well in the cannabis niche a lot of these clients on average are paying at minimum two thousand dollars a month
so it only takes four or five clients in order to hit that and
imagine if you're in another industry where you're you know
Doing dentists or restaurants and you're you're charging them only $500 a month. You need about 20 clients in order to make a decent
Decent salary we're here. You only need about four or five clients
So already you're working less, but you're earning more in this industry
And so you can it definitely is true. And so not only
Can you have less clients in total? And
Workless over time even with look at the lifecycle of an individual client if you have good
processes and systems in place
Your fee is gonna grow with their revenue and growth. So for example, we have a dispensary client here in Bend
They started with one dispensary and started paying us three grand a month about a year and a half ago
We just raised the fee for the fourth time
they're paying us ninety five hundred a month and now because they now have three dispensaries and
Half ownership and a farm and so our fee grows. They're all these cannabis companies are growing rapidly
So we let them know upfront as they grow our fee is gonna grow right along with them because it takes more work
But since we have more systems in place
I would so the fee is like 4x what it was a year and a half ago. The work has not gone up 4x
It's maybe gone up 1 and 1/2 X so our return is much greater
And so we have a six-figure firm with one small client in a small town with 80,000 people. It is literally a mom-and-pop
Company, but mom-and-pop and cannabis can make 4 to 6 million in revenues easily
and so that's one thing we love about this niche you can you can actually
Grow the size of your firm and reduce your clients, which we actually did last year. We fired several clients
So we kept our best clients raise their fees. We're making more money than ever with less clients
Yeah, awesome
so this is a wonderful niche to get into if you want to work more if you want to work less and earn more and
So awesome. Yes
so that's a great point about pricing and having one of your clients having one client and being able to
4x your business in a year and a half with just that one client
