Public invited to take "STEPS" to end poverty in Steuben

Walk, Taking Steps To End
Poverty in Steuben The community
is invited to participate in the
11th annual STEPS Walk, where
walkers take Steps To End
Poverty in Steuben.
The walk raises both awareness
about poverty in Steuben County
and funds for Turning Point
poverty services, which work to
end poverty across Steuben
County for one individual, one
family, one child at a time.
The event is free and open to
the public.
The STEPS Walks are held on
three separate dates in three
separate locations across
Steuben County: Saturday, May
4 at Steuben Square in Hornell
in conjunction with the
Wildflower Festival Saturday,
May 11 at Pulteney Square in
Bath
Saturday, May 18 at Centerway
funds raised offline.
Registration and programming
begins at 9:00 a.m.
Each location will offer
different pre-walk programs,
including musical entertainment.
Opening remarks begin at 9:45
and the walk begins at 10:00
a.m.
Bottled water donated by
Culligan will be provided.
If a walker is unable to
participate on these dates and
times, they are encouraged to
walk on another date and time of
their choosing, for example, at
a favorite gym, park, bike path,
or hiking trail.
Walkers may raise awareness and
funds both online and in person.

The Corning Information
Center, 1 West Market Street,
Corning, NY 100% of funds raised
in your community stay in your
community to benefit your
neighbors in need.
Turning Point services are
mobile and available in your
community from offices based in
Canisteo, Hornell, Bath, and
Corning.
Walkers choose to
which Turning Point location the
funds they raise will go.
Catholic Charities of Steuben
operates at 8.5% administrative
costs,
meaning 91.5 cents on the dollar
raised at the STEPS Walks goes
toward Turning Point programs
helping our neighbors in need.
