I will talk about
How to build your outfits for a couple of days quickly
When you are getting ready for your trip
You have to build multiple outfits in a short time
I'm sure that everyone wants to
wear some pretty clothes (to make yourself happy)
and take great pictures on them
Since I'm going to Osaka & Kyoto (Japan)
with my friend,
I feel like its a great opportunity to talk about the skills in building outfits for a trip

So now... I have my luggage here
And.. yes this is a disclaimer :
I am not here to teach you how to pack really light for a trip
and the clothing items that will be shown to you later...
are not my whole outfit/look
They are mainly tops/bottoms
for accessories & shoes,
and 1/2 extra outers
will be added afterwards (not shown here)
That's because I want to be a bit mysterious

I'd better stop here and let's start!
The 2nd step is my own trick
Before I pack my luggage,
I will first think of the number of travel days
For example I'm have an 8 days trip, I will choose 8 "statement pieces"
So what are "statement pieces"?
Basically you just need to choose some single clothing items out
including, outers
Tops and bottoms
I don't recommend choosing a specific pair of shoes as your "statement piece"
because it takes up a lot of space (& annoying)
I do occasionally
choose accessories as a "statement piece" when I want to wear some large earrings
I highly recommend you
To try choosing your "statement pieces" out first
It certainly makes building outfits easier & speeds up
the process in matching afterwards
The 3rd step is to
is to match it with other items like accessories
Based on our chosen items
I will match
it with this white top
The white colour matches well with this
Greyish-blue colour
its a simple but great colour combination
and due to the fact that
Japan's weather is
way cooler than Hong Kong
Its alright to wear some knit tops & long pants
My second item is this
Colourful skirt
It is composed of multiple colours
Including:
red, blue, aquamarine and white
Therefore I want to go with something plain
I'm matching it with this (again)
maybe you've seen it (from my last video)
its a white slogan tee
And could match with this skirt
But still I think it's a bit boring
So I want to pair it up with this denim outer
I'm sure you will have one ,right?
The reason for matching this is that
First it goes with my outfits later on
Second, it is perfect for a slightly cool weather
Especially when Japan has a large daily range of temp.
I also got this bag,
which has these two colours
That can fit my outfit's colour combination
Yep this is how I build my 2nd look
For the third "statement piece"
I want to match this with
This pair of black jeans I'm exactly wearing now
And again I think its a bit boring,
so I'm going to spice it up
with this BERET!
For my fourth outfit,
As I chose this outer as a "statement piece"
and it already has this awesome pattern
so I will match the black with this pair of jeans again
and add this crop top
To complete my fourth look
For my fifth item,
I chose this blouse
Its in lake blue colour
I'm going to pair it up with
With something white
white pants
Besides...
I will re-use this bag
So.. this is my fifth outfit.
My sixth item
is this
oversized shirt
and its highlight is at the back
The highlight is this pattern at the back
When you see this from the back
It's gonna be really cool !!!!
I love this shirt so much...
Once again, I will re-wear this pair of jeans
as I will wear it in my other looks
Therefore I am matching this with my black jeans
And for the top,I want something different
This is a black lace top
and I'm going to wear it underneath
You can see the layering on the sleeves
yea... this is my sixth look
My seventh piece is a shirt (again)
Lol I really love wearing shirts
The paint splashes is the pattern
The colour of those paint splashes is
A mix of different shades of blue
Thus, I want to
Wear it with a pair of denim jeans
Like this one.....
Finally.... The eighth outfit
Ah... finally
Since you can't take too much clothes for a trip,
I will re-wear this so that I can pack a bit lighter
The eighth "statement piece" that I chose earlier
is this skirt
So I'm matching these together
But if I simply wear the shirt
in the same way,
it will be boring.
Therefore, I will wear it in another way that day
.. perhaps I will tie a knot at the front
or go for the 'half tuck in' style
I can assure you that the way of wearing this shirt will be different
to create a new look
and maybe I will wear this bag too
as the coral colour matches with the skirt
(Same colour code)
Actually there is also one more step
which is to rearrange your outfits
according to your itinerary / activities every day
Its arranged by your activities or
You can just... freestyle (decide which outfit you should wear that day)
Okay.. wow. That's how I built 8 outfits quickly
As you can see,
If you've already chosen the 8 "statement" items in the first place,
you can be more efficient in finding the matching items
so... I do hope you can try out this method!
