7 Easy Steps to Sell Your Home: Stage & Engage!!!

Step five: stage and engage.
Get your home ready.
Once your home is in good working order,
it's time to set the stage and show off its best features.
We want to try to de-personalize as much as possible.
We want buyers to picture their families
enjoying your house.
A tidy home is a non-negotiable.
Channel your inner Mr. Clean or Snow White
and whistle while you work if you have to.
Just clean up the place.
Pick up the toys and pet stuff.
Babies and puppies sell breakfast cereal,
but they don't sell homes.
Clear the counter,
place appliances and personal items
in cabinets or in the drawer to keep them out of sight.
Pull back the curtains, pull up the blinds,
and let the sunshine in.
Don't forget to stage the outside as well.
Add a few plants or flowers
to give your yard some extra color.
Keep in mind,
staging should accentuate the positives of your house,
without overwhelming potential buyers.
