Hi there, it's Sarah from lightbulb.coach
I hope you're having a great day!
What do you need to think about if you are going to engage with a Coach?
There are lots and lots of coaches
out there working in different areas.
So you need to consider
The area you want
some expertise in, so potentially around
Career Coaching for example, maybe it's confidence
Maybe it's a particular technical
area that you're working in.
There are a lot of coaches you can go and look at
to see if there expertise and experience
suit what you're looking for, really do your research.
Think about
how qualified they are, so ask
if they are accredited, so there
are different bodies out there that coaches will
align themselves to.
So the International Coach Federation,
the European Mentoring and Coaching Council,
and the Association for Coaching are all really big ones.
Certainly globally, in Europe and the UK.
The accreditations are really important in that it
demonstrates the coach has
gone through a certain level of training
and experience before they have been accredited.
Anyone right now can call themselves a coach
and it's not to say that coach won't be able to help you,
but the accreditation, or certainly the qualifications
will give you reassurance
that the coach is qualified to help you.
So have a look on their websites,
get in touch if you have any questions
and good luck in your hunt for a coach.
