Pete Fisher Steps Down as Academy of Country Music CEO

R.A. "RAC" Clark will serve as the interim executive director of the Academy, effective immediately  Pete Fisher has stepped down as CEO of the Academy of Country Music after nearly two and half years in the position The news was announced Monday (May 20). "Following many years on the ACM Board, it's been an honor to serve the Academy in the role of CEO," Fisher said in a statement "I've greatly enjoyed working with the Academy staff, Officers and Boards, and I look forward to continuing to support the good work of the ACM and ACM Lifting Lives  Proud of what we have accomplished, I look forward to what the future holds." Fisher says he plans to pursue new opportunities, but did not reveal specifics     R.A. While the awards show drew an estimated 9 9 million viewers over its three-hour running time, the broadcast was down about 18% from last year Fisher joined the ACM in 2017 after a long tenure at the Grand Ole Opry. The ACM Awards are produced by dick clark productions, a division of Valence Media, parent company of the Billboard-Hollywood Reporter Media Group
