4 Essential Steps For My Morning Self Love Routine - Amanda Jane - Gday Gorgeous

- Hey there, it's Amanda Jane Clarkson and you've tuned in to G-day Gorgeous, a lifestyle channel that empowers women in all seven areas of life. Including love, health, happiness, money, your vocation, which is your job, career or business, happiness and personal development. Recently I got asked what my self love routine was every day of the week and the reason I'm making this video today is because I believe it is critical to take care of yourself before you take care of everything and everyone else. Now, I understand that woman are so busy. Many women have children, they have a busy schedule, and it's common that women put everybody else before themselves. They take care of everyone else including their family, friends, anyone. And often leave little for themselves. And look, what I'm gonna share with you today are my four tips for self love. This is my ritual, my morning routine. And it doesn't matter how busy you are, you can always find time to do these four steps, each and every day. Now, even if you do have children, I would suggest that you wake up 10 minutes before they do or change your routine, just to give yourself the gift of self love. Taking care of self, filling up the glass before you try and fill up everybody else's glass or their needs. So, the very first thing I do every morning when I open my eyes, I have a night stand beside me and I have a big glass of water. Now, my poodle's just jumped on my lap. This is the fabulous thing about making videos from home. This is little Yogi Bear. Every time I make a video he jumps on my leg to see who I'm chatting with. So, the reason that I have a big glass of water the minute I open my eyes is to replenish myself, to hydrate my body, it helps me wake up, it clears my mind. And, my next ritual, the minute I've had that glass of water is, I lay in my bed and I instantly do a minimum of 10 to 15 things that I am grateful for. Now why do I do this ritual? I go straight into an attitude of gratitude , I hope you're writing that down in your journal, because it puts me in the right frame of mind. It puts me in a different mood than if I was to wake up and start thinking about all the stuff that happened yesterday all the problems that I encountered, all the hurdles that I needed to overcome. If I allow my mind to wander into anything, especially the thoughts that we had yesterday, because here's a fact gorgeous, we have about 60 thousands thoughts each day and 95% of them, I think it's about 97% of those thoughts are the same as we had yesterday. So if you want to have more empowerment or more control, less frustration in any of those seven areas of life that I just spoke about, well wouldn't it be a great idea that each morning you give the first three or four minutes to your gratitudes and think about all the things that you are grateful for. A great nights sleep, a warm bed, fresh air, fresh clean water that you get to hydrate your body with and clear your mind with. And then I start to think about all the wonderful things that I'm grateful for that I have in my life, sunshine, a beautiful swimming pool, a nice home, wonderful friends, beautiful parents, my poodle Yogi. And then I start to think about all the things that I'm grateful for that I want to attract into my life. Prosperity, abundance, fabulous health. And so that's what I do for the next 3 or 4 minutes. Then after that, I have my intentions set for the day. I never just wake up and wonder what the hell is gonna happen today. I have my days set for what I want to achieve. And the night before I go to bed I have a companion diary, I have a little diary here, and I write down my intentions for each and every day of the week. And so I have week 1, for each month I beg your pardon, I have intentions that I want to achieve. And so each day before I get into my day I have three intentions that I wanna have met by the time I finish the day. I write those in my diary the night before I go to bed. So I don't wake up and think oh my gosh its Monday morning, what am I gonna do for the day. I have my three highest intentions. Now what are my intentions? My intentions are outcomes that I want to achieve that are taking me closer to my dreams, taking me closer to the life that I want. Taking me closer to my life by design, not a life by default nor desperation. I am clear on my intentions and each and every morning I know what I am going to look forward to. Okay now the fourth thing that I say, so we've had our glass of water, we've done our gratefuls, now our intentions, our three intensions, that's the third things, the fourth critical thing, I have beside my bed, what I call a magic outfit. My magic outfit, it is my gym clothes. And every morning without question, before I go and brush my teeth or anything like that, I get out of bed and I put what I call my magic outfit on. My running gear or my track suit bottoms, or my shorts, a top, and what it does, it changes my thinking, it changes my, the way I feel, I instantly go from sleep mode, to exercise mode. Taking care of my health mode. Now I'm not suggesting you've got to go out and run a marathon or do anything hard. Walk around the block, get some fresh air, take Yogi Bear to the beach, we live just down the beach. I've got a home gym which I'll walk you through another day on a live video. I go to the gym, I do some push ups, I get on the elliptical bike or the exercise bike. I take care of business. What is business? Me. I am the business. You are the business. If you wanna create a life by design, a life that you absolutely can not wait to jump into each day. A life that you wake up and want to live with inspiration, enthusiasm, instead of wanting to pull the Duna cover up over your eyes. This is how you do it. You plan for success. Success is not just gonna roll on top of you girlfriend. You've gotta plan for it, have your intentions set. So that other people don't control your day. You control your day. So the magic outfit is my fourth amazing thing that I do for myself. Now those four things alone, yes they can take a little bit of time to create a ritual from. But if you just stick to that ritual, stick to that plan, even after seven days I promise you will feel so much better about yourself, you will like more of what you see when you look in the mirror. Its not about how you look on the outside, it is about how you feel on the inside. And if you want a great life, if you wanna be the best for your children, you wanna be the best in your job, career or business. You wanna be the best in your relationships, your friendships, your love life. Then it begins with you, become empowered to have a prosperous and abundant life. This is where it begins. And even though I'm setting my day for business and life, really what it boils down to is self love. You can not expect other people to float into your life and to love you until you love you.
