Scott Moreau - Next Steps to #Equity2020
My name is Scott Moreau, and I have been
a member of Actors' Equity since 2011. Now I'm coming to you on behalf of the
Equity 2020 campaign. There's a lot of buzz going on, a lot of new things coming up,
but the thing that I'm most excited about is the possibility of having a
national convention for our union. I can't believe it hasn't already happened.
But the exciting thing about that is not only will it give us the opportunity to
be in one place and be able to network and talk to so many different members
that maybe we don't get to see because they're not living in an office city.
It'll allow us the ability to vote on and bring up so many
different topics in a huge forum where we can all get a lot of things done at
once as a large unit of union members. So I'm extremely excited about that.
I hope you will keep your eyes open for social media posts and emails from the union,
and remember when it comes time to vote, vote YES!
