MARIA: Alright, 87 steps with AE. First question. What does AE stand for? AE: AE stands for Ann Elizabeth. MARIA: Interesting. Do most people call you AE? or is it Ann Elizabeth- I know when I'm in trouble I get Maria Ann. AE: Well my family calls me Ann Elizabeth, and my oldest friends call me Ann Elizabeth, but everybody else calls me AE. MARIA: Got it. And, AE, your main sport is hockey, is that right? AE: It is. Ice hockey. MARIA: Ice hockey. Not roller hockey- AE: And not field hockey. [Laughter] MARIA: What position do you play in ice hockey? AE: I usually play wing. MARIA: Okay, do you still play now? AE: I do MARIA: Okay, where do you play? AE: I play at a rink at Saint James, and I play at the Saint James facility, and I can't remember- somewhere in Virginia over the river, and then also at the MedStar ice rink, which is where the Cap's practice, and at the Chevy Chase rink. MARIA: Oh man, who is your favorite player on the Caps? AE: Nicky Backstrom! MARIA: Obviously. AE: I know, come on. MARIA: If you were stranded on a desert island, what's the one thing you would bring with you? AE: Oh wow. Probably a great book. MARIA: That's fair. Favorite place to work out in DC? Doesn't have to be the Lincoln. AE: Well, other than Lincoln, I'd say Rock Creek Park. MARIA: Rock Creek. Good choice. Alright, we're getting into the lighting round. AE, What's your favorite color? AE: Green. MARIA: And, how many kids do you have? AE: I have two. MARIA: What are their names? AE: Sky and Sean. MARIA: Wow, AE, 87 steps, you did it. Nice job. AE: Thanks, Maria.
