Selaron Steps in Rio de Janeiro - HOW TO GET THERE

hey everyone my name is Debora and I'm a local guide here in Rio de Janeiro and Brazil and today I'm going to show you how to get to Selaron steps one of the easiest way to get there which is one of the most visited attractions here in Rio de Janeiro let's go so the first option that we're going to show you is if you're coming from Santos Dummont Airport you're going to take the VLT and you must have one of these cards you can purchase this in the airport also take the exit that you must take is Cinelandia and the second option that we're going to give you which is one of my favorites, when visiting Selaron Steps Is to take the metro over here you are going to stop at Cinelandia, and you can take exit D or A with D being the best one If you took exit A or D your reference point will be Starbucks which is right on the corner of Rua do Passeio in which we're gonna go right now so once you get to the yellow building we're gonna cross the street right over here and follow the path along the Lapa Church and when you see Sala Cecilia Meireles which is a theatre we're gonna go on the street right next to it once you see the Lapa Church, you can already see the Selaron Steps at the end of that street so these are the famous Selaron Steps is a huge mosaic build with over 2,000 colourful ceramic tiles they were presented to the Chilean born artist Jorge Selarón throughout his life so just remember there's the line to take a picture at the main steps which says Rio de Janeiro, Selarón Steps and you should wait your turn and be respectful to others so this was our take of how to get to the cellar of steps the easiest way of course if you take an uber or taxi and in that case we'll leave the exact location of where you need to go on the description below also as in any big city be watchful of your personal belongings but you should be fine and if anybody asks you heard it from a local I hope you enjoyed
